Learning art of ensemble groove playing
*How to play with other instruments (working out the bass lines as well
as guitar lead and rhythm patterns and how they interact)
*Intergrating lead and rhythm playing so you can do both simultaneously Showing how lead playing flows out of one's rhythmic understanding
* Art of blues soul and funky lead playing (use of vibrato for getting a natural sustain) blues timings and phrasing, and slide playing
* Using a varied selection of material ranging from classic Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson to more city oriented shuffles and blues ala BB King, T Bone Walker, to funkier grooves ala Freddy King, Albert Collins,Junior Wells,James Brown, Robert Cray
